Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

AskMotion ("we", "our" or "us") is a product of AskTech. This policy explains what happens to the photos and projects you work with in the AskMotion app for iPhone, iPad and Android. By using AskMotion, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store or have access to any information about you, your photos or your videos. In particular, AskMotion:

• has no sign-up, login or user account
• has no servers and does not send your photos, projects or videos anywhere
• contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, from us or from anyone else
• does not use your device's advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites

The app works entirely offline.

3. Your photos

AskMotion only sees a photo when you choose it. You pick photos with your device's own photo picker, which hands AskMotion just the photo you selected; the app does not ask for, and cannot browse, the rest of your photo library.

4. Information stored on your device

Each project you create is stored only on your device, inside AskMotion's private storage:

• a copy of the photo you chose for it
• your edits: motion paths, pins, painted areas, effects, captions and settings
• a small preview image used in your list of projects

This information is protected by your device's built-in encryption, which is tied to your device passcode. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.

5. Videos you export

AskMotion creates a video only when you tap Export. You then decide what happens to it:

• Save to Photos adds the video to your photo library. AskMotion asks only for permission to add to your photos, not to read them.
• Share opens your device's share sheet, and you choose the app or person to send it to. Once you share a video, it is handled by that service under its own privacy policy.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, share or disclose your data, because we never have it. If we are ever required by law to provide information, we have no user data to provide.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

• Your projects stay on your device until you delete them.
• You can delete any project from the projects screen (long-press it, or tap ⋯ → Delete), or remove everything by uninstalling the app.
• Videos you saved to your photo library are not affected when you delete a project or the app; you manage them in your Photos app.
• If you uninstall the app or lose your device, your projects cannot be recovered, by you or by us.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. Because AskMotion keeps your projects only on your device, you can do all of this yourself within the app. We hold no copy to access or delete on your behalf. You are welcome to contact us with any question about your privacy.

9. Children's privacy

AskMotion does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how AskMotion handles information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of the app ever needs to collect any data, we will explain it here and in the app before it happens.
