2.1 Account Information
- Name and email address (used for account identification)
- AskQuote uses passwordless sign-in — a one-time code is sent to your email at login instead of a password. We do not store passwords.
2.2 Business Profile Information
- Business name, address, city
- Phone number
- Tax identifiers: GSTIN and PAN
- Business logo (optional, uploaded by you)
2.3 Client Information
- Client names, email addresses, and contact details you add to the app
2.4 Financial Documents
- Quotations and invoices you create, including line items, amounts, tax rates, and notes
- Payment status and dates
2.5 Usage Data
- Basic technical logs (errors, API requests) used to maintain and improve the service
- We do not use analytics SDKs or track user behaviour beyond what is necessary to operate the service
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Operate and provide the AskQuote service
- Generate PDF quotations and invoices on your behalf
- Allow you to manage your clients and financial documents
- Send you transactional emails (e.g., your one-time sign-in code)
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service you signed up for.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Mumbai region (ap-south-1), India
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
- Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email — there is no password to store, hash, or leak
- Business logos and uploaded files are stored in a private AWS S3 bucket
- We apply industry-standard security practices including firewall rules, access controls, and encrypted storage
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or business data with any third party, except:
- Service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform (e.g., AWS for infrastructure). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements — if required by Indian law, a court order, or a lawful government request
6. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active
- If you delete your account, all associated data (business profile, clients, quotations, invoices) will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- You may request deletion at any time by contacting us
7. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time (this will result in account deactivation)
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

8. Children's Privacy
AskQuote is intended for use by businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
